With almost 35 years of experience with State Farm, I understand the importance of protecting your family and business. I am a business owner, husband, father of two, and active community member. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance from The Pennsylvania State University. Yes, they did offer a four-year insurance degree in the 1990s.

Since July 2000, I have been serving the insurance needs of Monroeville, PA, and Western Pennsylvania, specializing in Auto, Home, Life, and Business insurance. As a second-generation State Farm Agent, my father began his career with State Farm in 1960, and his two brothers also started their careers with State Farm in the late 1950s. In 1980, my father, Victor Capets, opened the office on Northern Pike, where I now operate. He retired as an agent in July 2000 after 40 years of dedicated service.

After graduating from high school, I served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves for six years while pursuing my Bachelor of Science degree. Following my graduation from Penn State, I joined State Farm, working first as a Personal Lines underwriter and later as a field claims adjuster for the company.

My hobbies are researching local history and writing. I was privileged to co-author the book "Images of America - Trafford" published by Arcadia in 2017, and self-published my own book called "Good War, Great Men" that was accepted by the World War One Centennial Commission in Washington DC as an official project in 2018. I was fortunate to have an article written for the Western Pennsylvania History Magazine win a Golden Quill Award in 2022. I serve as president of the Trafford Historical Society and First Vice Commander of the Trafford American Legion Post 331 in Trafford. As part of the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of Westmoreland County, I spearheaded the creation of a digital map documenting Trafford's 250 oldest buildings. I'm proud to have been received the Trafford Borough Council 2024 Volunteer of the Year Award.
